Swing batter batter

Now it is still my beloved hockey season and I am very proud of my Philadelphia Flyers for having secured a playoff spot. I intend to make my father take me to a game as I do not think I will be fortunate enough to having the flyers coming down here to DC. Regardless best of luck to my favorite team and kick some ASS!!!

Spring has sprung folks! Or at least for us in the DC area. The cherry blossoms are in full season and Baseball season has begun!! Even though the Phillies are not off to a good start I am not terribly worried about that as the season will get better. What does give me some joy in my heart was the Yankees losing their home opener to the Orioles. Sorry friends who are Yankees fans! If you are from the Philadelphia area it is just born in you to hate all sports teams from New York. No I do not think my team is better by any means, its just the way the rivarly works. However the Mets just might be taking over for the Phillies ability to choke! So everyone I hope you get out and enjoy some games! I will be at some Phillies games both back home and here in DC when they play the Nationals. I will also be at the National games sporting my Let Teddy Win tshirt!! And if you are from DC and you havent bought one of these shirts yet, then shake your head in shame because you need to!!!

Anyways! Happy Spring everyone, if you need or want to find me you can find me in DC or VA after work most days at some restaurant or bar that has outdoor seating enjoying the wonderful weather before the humidity comes. I will be the one in obnoxiously large sunglasses having a very large drink!

Website of the day is for Teddy Tshirts and the very awesome Teddy Blog:

Sweet tooth

I dont care if you are on a diet or that you think chocolate is the devil because it makes your thighs looks like cottage cheese, if you havent experience Peterbrooke Chocolatier then you need to. I was in Jacksonville for our Annual CARTS Conference and my co-worker Lynda was nice enough to bring some back with me since I could not make the trip to San Marco area to go to the store. She brought me back the devilish chocolate dipped oreos. Now I like sweets but I can do without them most days. These things however are addicting and very tastey. I mean they even have chocolate dipped nutter butters!!! Who hasnt thought about how good that would be!!

Visit there website and order yourself some chocolate sooo good it should be a sin!

A posting that all girls can relate to

So one of my favorite blogs is The Virginity Monolouges. I can relate to her in many different ways. Though I think most woman can relate to one another when it comes to being a woman scorned. I am going to share one of her posts below and a link to her blog. Men I hope you can also get something from this.

Okay, gentlemen of this world. I want to convey a piece of advice to all of you that is becoming increasingly clear to me that all of you desperately need.

When you are newly involved with a female in any sort of non-platonic situation- whether it be romantic or sexual or any sort of mixture of the two, DO NOT talk about other women. Do not constantly refer to your ex and her weird habits. Do not talk about how you have an asian fetish and how you previously wanted to date the girl's very good friend who happens to be asian. Don't tell her about the girl that is in love with you and wants to have your babies. Do not tell your fuck buddy about the girl that you've always been in love with. Don't mention the lunch that you just had with the belly dancer.

Regardless of how serious or not-serious the nature of your relationship is, is disrespectful and inappropriate. I don't understand why this is such a difficult concept and why it is becoming more and more prevalent.

Got it???

A little Sugar A litte Spice

Howdy everyone,
I apologize for the abscense recently. My day job has been keeping me pretty busy, this is other than the crime fighting and breaking hearts in the evenings!

Many of the men in life are currently consumed right now by the NCAA tournament. Who are you rooting for?? I am not rooting for anyone inparticular though my bracket is beating the pants of most people i know. Trust me I used no intellect or skill in making my picks, I have no skill at making decisions when it comes to basketball. Baseball and hockey are more my areas of expertise. Well of course swimming but i do not know many people that follow swimming except my friends that stare at the male swimmers bodies.

Anyways I have been saying that I am going to post things that I find interesting. Well I am going to include a link to a blog that I think is hysterical!! For anyone who has had a crappy boss this will make you chuckle. I mean some of the things really will make you wonder, how that person thought it was acceptable to say what they did!

The blog is called things my boss has said

Please enjoy:

Snow makes everything pretty!

I love snow! This is part of the reason I could never move to a warm state. I would miss snow far too much. The downside of snow is having to walk in 4 inch snow to get to the metro so I can go work because the Federal Government decided to only give a two hour delay! But anyways I love how snow makes everything look so clean and sparkely! Even my porch had snow on it today mostly because of the insane wind whipping all the snow around.

Anyways I hope everyone in the Northeast today isnt having too many problems with the snow today! Also I hope you get a snow day unlike myself who is sitting at my desk when I could be home doing things like roasting marshmallows or sitting in my pjs sipping a cup of coffee with a movie on!

Till next time!

Quiltting Who knew?

No I myself have not taken up knitting. I mean I knew that quilting was large in some circles but who knew I didn't! I mean I have grown up around my grandmother crocheting but that is something very different and has a much different following.

My co-worker Lynda is a very accomplished quilter! Something that I did not know about her I mean she has won awards, teaches and even has been on HGtv for her quilting! She has done 3d quilting shapes I mean it really is something to be seen. I am going to include two links that she has sent me about what she has done and I hope everyone checks it out!!

What she does kinda makes me want to quilt though I would probably sew my finger to the quilt. It has been awhile since I have operated a sewing machine. My mother taught me when I was around 15/16 to use a sewing machine. I used to make my own drawstring pajama pants. And let me just tell you they were awesome. My favorite pair had to be the fleecey ones with penguins. I mean honestly you just don't get much cooler than that, I remember I used to wear them on chillier days lifeguarding in the summer. Ah how I miss those pants.

I hope everyone had a good fat tuesday! And Happy Hump Day!

Time to Start again

Hi! It has been more than a long time since I have lasted posted anything here on my blog. I decided to take some time off in August from writing the blog to deal with some personal issues that were going on in my life at the time. Well its February now and I feel its time to re-start my ramblings. New year, new me, new attitude. I won't go into what has gone on in my life unless people really ask me to.

I have decided to refocus my thoughts on the blog since many many things have changed in my life over the past year causing me to re-evaluate things that are most important to me. Now I will still post on my love for Philadelphia sports! I can't help it, my father had two girls and no boys so naturally my sister and I are sports fans! But every once in awhile I want to talk about something cool and fun I have discovered. Also give someone much deserved credit for something that they have done. I also need something to break up the dribble about my musings of ppl on the metro who wont give up their seat for the pregnant lady or having a two hour delay on my metro line. Such metro troubles have me yearning for the efficieny that is londons metro system!

If you havent figured out my blog is titled ramblings because as you now see that is what I do I ramble. I often have fits of ADD and go from topic to topic on a whim!

Onto something that I think is very cool and creative is the website of Matthew Gray Gubler. A friend sent me his website thinking that I would enjoy it. And I did! My mother was an artisit and art teacher so I have an appreciation for people creating art! Yes I do dabble in some art myself but I do not have the means to show any of you, I mean I can barely make this site flashy so therefore I prefer to promote the work of others! Anyways onwards and upwards to what I was talking about before I jumped off tangent. Some of you might not like it the work on the site but I demand that you considered it. Art is different things to different people! I happen to think this is great and neat! Anyways I think what he is done is really exceptional and therefore you should check it out!

His website is : http://www.matthewgraygubler.com/

I hope you all enjoy!
